Horse Riding

Several equestrian clubs operate in the Municipality of Šmarje pri Jelšah, preserving a rich horse-riding tradition and bringing together horse enthusiasts. Among them are:

• The Šmarje pri Jelšah Equestrian Club, founded in 2002, organizes the traditional horse blessing festival and open house days.

• Amon Tim Equestrian Club, founded in 2017, offers riding lessons, trail riding, and equestrian camps.

• Sveti Štefan Equestrian Club, whose members promote equestrianism, organize social events, and foster respect for horses and nature.
