In 2025, the sports offering in Šmarje pri Jelšah expanded further with the opening of a new padel court, part of the new Šmarje Swimming Pool complex. The court is designed for year-round use, featuring floodlights for evening play and a high-quality surface suitable for various weather conditions.
Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, combining elements of tennis and squash. It is played in pairs on a smaller court, offering a dynamic and accessible game for all ages. Thanks to its simple rules and social nature, padel is suitable for both beginners and experienced players.
The new Šmarje court allows easy online booking, giving players flexibility in planning their games. Its location next to the swimming pool also makes it perfect for combining sport and relaxation during the summer months.
At the Šmarje Swimming Pool, there are two padel courts available. Court reservations require immediate online payment, and play is allowed between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
Access to the court is granted via a QR code, which you will receive on your phone after a successful reservation and payment. The QR code allows entry 15 minutes before the scheduled time, and the court must be vacated no later than 15 minutes after the end of the session. After this time, the code will no longer be valid.
Rackets and balls are available at the courts, although we recommend bringing your own equipment.
Please ensure that after your session, you put away all equipment, turn off the lights (in the evening), and close the doors.

Hourly Rates
Daytime (until dusk): 10 EUR per court
Nighttime (under floodlights): 15 EUR per court
Additional Charges
Lost ball: 2 EUR
Intentionally damaged racket: 50 EUR.
