The hill of Tinsko is one of the most wine-rich areas, where the finest grape varieties thrive, and the vineyards produce some of the best wines in the region. The Šmarje–Virštanj Wine Route passes through Tinsko, lined with vineyard cottages and wine cellars, each with its own story and tradition.
The Church of St. Anne was built at the end of the 14th century in the Gothic style. The nave and presbytery have been preserved, along with parts of the original painted decoration. In the 17th century, a bell tower was added to the church, and in 1733, a choir gallery was built.
To the west of St. Anne’s stands the Church of the Mother of God, constructed in the second half of the 15th century. Its exterior radiates the beauty of Late Gothic architecture, enriched with finely detailed stone carvings that give the church a special elegance.
Together with Sladka Gora and St. Roch, Tinsko remains part of a well-known pilgrimage triad, offering visitors a unique blend of religious heritage, natural beauty, and winegrowing tradition.
