In 2025, Šmarje pri Jelšah opened a new swimming pool, located near the footgolf courts. This modern sports and recreational center is open during the summer months, from June to September. The pool provides a pleasant environment for exercise, relaxation, and socializing, quickly becoming an essential part of the municipality’s summer activities.
The facility offers both swimming courses and recreational sessions. Special attention is given to children and youth, as swimming helps develop self-confidence, discipline, and water safety skills.
